Who will be sacrificed, Ayu, Makinde and/or Wike?
Somehow Nigeria politics is starting to look like the house of cards, and currently, it is putting Atiku in the spotlight, as he is faced with a very dilemma of his own.
They say politics is a game, some say it is a dirty game, I say it is a game of chess and who will be sacrificed Ayu, Makinde and/or Wike?
Ayu is not only the national chairman of one of the two major contemporary parties in Nigeria, PDP but also a loyal supporter of the PDP’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar. So it is not a surprise why this might pose a paradox to Atiku. “Sacrifice the Southwest and possibly the Southsouth or sacrifices your loyalist” talk about giving an ultimatum. If this was a chess game I would refer to Ayu as the queen, who supports the king and is very powerful.
The length Makinde is going to go to is unknown, but what we do know is that he is unpredictable, smart and definitely preparing for the future and so is Wike. State resources can be the tipping scale in winning a presidential election.
Why are Makinde and Wike insisting on this you might wonder, they are planning for the future of the party, the powerhouse of PDP is concentrated in the North, which does not speak well for other tribes in the party.
If he is serious about actually winning, he needs to do what he ought to do and well he said “Your request is achievable, but will require an amendment of the PDP Constitution”
If Atiku does not yield, does that mean that the Southwest leaders and possible Southsouth leaders will not back Atiku’s presidential aspiration? another question is whether is Atiku willing to find out what will happen.
So many questions with very few answers, yet I will be posing 3 questions to you. Do we want a president who throws people under the bus to get what he wants? If a president cannot sacrifice to restructure his party, can he restructure Nigeria? and Who will be sacrificed, Ayu, Makinde and/or Wike?
