Have you heard about the story of the frog and and scorpion? A story that teaches about the resilience of one's nature.

The scorpion was traveling and when it got to one point of his journey he needed to cross the river, the scorpion could not swim so it went to the frog to help him cross the river, and the frog agreed to help the scorpion.

The frog carried the scorpion on his back and started swimming, when it got to the middle of the river, the scorpion stung the frog, the frog drowned and died and so did the scorpion.

Why did the scorpion sting the frog? Because it is in the nature of the scorpion to sting

A more scary question is; did the frog help the scorpion Because it is in his nature to help?

Understanding the nature of something gives you an edge, and being able to use that knowledge to your advantage or at the very least your survival is an even greater edge.
