More Important Than Knowing Christ Jesus

Has one of the people who I look up to in christ started blaspheming? Isn’t knowing christ the most important thing ever? Instead of questioning his faith and myself in my mind, all I had to do was to read on”

He said, “Many have claimed that the most important phase of your Christian journey is to know Jesus Christ, that isn’t true, the most important is that Jesus knows you.” Oh okay I get, I said in my mind, I understood now, I should have just read on, he quoted Matthew 7:22–23 “Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” (NIV‬‬)

Nowhere is safe anymore
Schools, supermarkets, police stations, and even the church.
The safest place is Jesus. The name of Jesus.
Only the righteous run into it and they are safe.

Being saved is more than you acknowledge that Jesus is lord; even satan acknowledges that Jesus is lord. Is your life in the process of changing into him?

Like yeast does to flour the holy spirit began to increase these words of life in my soul.
When I got home, I went to meet my mum in the kitchen, I was too eager to wait for her to finish what she was doing.
As dramatic as I could be I said “do you know that knowing Jesus is not the most important thing.” I waited for a dramatic pause, yet I did not see her being surprised but it didn’t stop me from saying everything I wanted to say.

The point is Jesus knowing you is a different thing than you knowing Jesus.
Being able to heal the sick and raise the dead in his name is not evidence of christ knowing you. People deny people they are not proud of, so if you are doing things that Jesus would not be proud of, then Jesus might just deny you in front of his father “Matthew 10:33: (New Living Translation) But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.

The very question we must ask ourselves as we read this is does Jesus know me? And we have to know the answer to this question, there must be a certainty that Jesus knows you because him knowing you is more important than you knowing Christ Jesus.
